StabbingWestward.com reports:

It appears that Stabbing Westward has decided to throw in the towel. The webmaster of their official website Posted the following statement to the site on Saturday (2/9):

Stabbing Westward has soul searched and decided as friends that it's time to part. They would like to thank all their fans that have stood by them and loved their music, all their music, very much. They decided a week ago it was time to part and they wanted to live with their decision for a bit before making it official but as some friend told a friend, they feel it's your right to find out from them.

So, from Chris, Andy, Jim and Walter: Thank you very much for the support and love. We are very sad and as well very excited about all our futures."

Cdnow.com reports:

According to Cdnow.coms Miss Truth, Axl Rose has fired producer Roy Thomas Baker who was brought in during the spring of 2000 to help Sean Beavan (NIN, Marilyn Manson) produce the already years overdue project. Baker is best known for his production work with Queen.  Guns N Roses equals Van Halen in the tightlipped department so it is still unclear when the album Chinese Democracy will actually see the light of day.
