The first AC/DC material expected from Epic will be remastered versions of the classic albums, Back in Black, Highway To Hell, and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." Those reissues are expected to hit stores early next year with more reissues to follow.
The reissues will include new liner notes, rare photographs of the band and will also give the fans who buy the CDs the ability to use the CD to connect to a special website to download additional content.
"Today AC/DC is going stronger than ever, making it a true pleasure to welcome the band into the Sony Music family, and an honor to have the opportunity to bring both their classic repertoire and new releases to fans across the country and around the world," Sony Music chairman/CEO Thomas D. Mottola said in a statement.
The bands next studio album is expected to be released by Elektra not Epic, since the group still owes Elektra one more album under their contract.
