Scott Posted the following announcement on their official website this week:
Comrades,
Anthrax's new album "WE'VE COME FOR
YOU ALL" will be released in Japan through JVC on February 4, 2003 and
inEurope on February 24 through Nuclear Blast. The United States, Canada,
South America and Australia/New Zealand will follow shortly there after.
IT'S DONE! Pen was put to paper and as we say in the biz, "we inked the deal." That's right my friends, today we signed with Artist Direct/BMG. I think you could've heard the Homer-esque "WOO-HOO!" from LA to Sydney. The release date for the U.S., Canada, Australia, NZ, South America and anywhere else besides Japan (2/4) and Europe (2/24) is April 1st.
What a perfect release date! Thank you
for being so patient with us as we sorted out our business. We are all
stoked to be with Artist Direct and look forward to next year. It's time
to go to work. It's time to kick ass.
Charley also checked in with fans via
a new column in the Japanese publication TOKYO - BLAST BEAT #ONE. In his
message he pleaded with fans not to download mp3s of the new Anthrax album.
Here is part of his message:
I also want to take the time to ask our fans PLEASE NOT TO DOWNLOAD the new ANTHRAX record, it'll break my heart. You would be cheating yourself anyway, the inside booklet and the cover have some killer artwork and lyrics that you won't find anyplace but there. I think Metal is alive and well and this record is proof. We've worked very hard on this album, I think the music I've written is some of the best yet. I really think you're going to dig it.
