Fans showed up for the radio-sponsored show expecting Kellys father Ozzy Osbourne to perform. Instead Ozzy took the stage simply to introduce his daughter to the disappointed fans. Kelly was greeted with boos from the audience when she took the stage and the crowds animosity reportedly continued throughout her 3 song set.
Kelly did however take the opportunity to stir up the ongoing feud between former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and her family. The feud dates back to 2000 when Sharon Osbourne who was managing the Smashing Pumpkins, publicly dropped the band as a client. At the time she issued an inflammatory statement that said in part, unfortunately I must resign due to medical reasons...Billy Corgan was making me sick!
Kelly told the audience that Billy Corgan got his new band Zwan on the bill by having oral sex with the program director of the radio station that sponsored the show. This was second recent clash between Kelly and Corgan. Earlier this month at a radio show in Los Angeles Kellys boyfriend, Bert McCracken (with the band the Used), reportedly attempted to trip Corgan. In response Corgan allegedly kicked McCracken in the stomach, according to press reports.
But the question remains, if Corgan who is an accomplished musician was accused of having to perform oral sex to land his spot on the roster, what did Kelly have to do to get the gig?
