It�s that time of year again. The (c)Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have released this years list of nominees. 

Leading the ballot for this year are punk legends the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. Other artists included on this year�s ballot include Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers, Talking Heads, Isaac Hayes, Gram Parsons and Jackson Browne.  Artists returning to the list this year include AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Patti Smith and Black Sabbath. 

Who votes?  A committee comprised of music journalists, music historians, recording artists and record company executives. Only seven of the 16 artists nominated will be inducted into the hall during a ceremony in 2002.  

Grease paint rockers KISS and shock rocker Alice Cooper were not nominated this year.
