SLIPKNOT AND SYSTEM OF A DOWN PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THEIR FANS

Immortal Touring and Events, StreetWise Concepts & Culture, No Name Music and The Agency Group today announced the first annual Pledge Of Allegiance tour scheduled to debut on October 1st, 2001 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The six-week tour will feature headliners Slipknot and System of a Down who are also partners in the annual event, along with managers Steve Richards of No Name Music, David Benveniste of StreetWise/Velvet Hammer Music, Happy Walters of Immortal Entertainment Group and Dave Kirby of The Agency Group.

The tour will be booked by Kirby and produced by Kevin Lyman for Immortal Touring and Events.

The Pledge of Allegiance tour will provide non-stop entertainment with a main live music stage, and an enhanced second stage that will feature new artists and alternative forms of entertainment.

Pledge of Allegiance was inspired by the music fans that have pledged their continued support and loyalty to bands like Slipknot and System of a Down, stated Walters.

Their reward will be a multi-entertainment event for the price of one ticket.

Its time for this tour, says Richards Lets give the fans what they want.

System of a Down and Slipknot will headline a rock tour that will offer credibility along with pure, raw entertainment, added Benveniste.  For those who join us, it will be a day they wont soon forget.

Slipknots self-titled debut album was released in 1999 and has since sold over two and a half million copies worldwide.

Vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist Daron Malakian, bassist Shavo Odadjian, and drummer John Dolmayan formed System of a Down in Southern California in the mid-90s.  They quickly earned a strong following in Los Angeles, largely based on strong word of mouth that quickly spread throughout not only America, but also Europe and the Far East.  Systems self-titled debut, released in 1997, has sold nearly one million copies, and this summer will see the unleashing of their highly-anticipated, second Rick Rubin-produced CD.

Complete tour dates and talent line-up will be forthcoming.
