Godsmack recently completed the Return of the Rock tour with Limp Bizkit and are getting ready to head out on their very own headlining adventure in February. They have asked Staind and Systematic to join in the fun on what has been dubbed the Wake the f**k up tour. With these three bands you can be sure no one will fall asleep in their seats.
The tour kicks off on Feb 26th at the Whitamore Center in Durham New Hampshire. Godsmack is touring in support of their sophomore release Awake.
Staind have completed work on the follow-up to their platinum selling major label debut Dysfunctional. The new album Break The Cycle is expected to hit stores on Elektra Records this spring. A real audio preview of Outside one of the new songs is available on Elektras Staind page.
You may not have heard of Systematic yet, but you will. The Oakland, California group caught the ear of Lars Ulrich last summer. He was so impressed he made them the third signing to his label, The Record Company (part of Elektra Entertainment). Systematic received their first national exposure last summer as part of the Tattoo the Earth festival as well a supporting group for the Union Underground tour. In the fall they went into the studio to record their debut album with producer Peter Collins (Rush, Queensryche, Suicidal Tendencies, and Alice Cooper.) In December they finished recording 14 tracks and the album is set to his stores on May 22nd. For those who cant wait, the bands official website features mp3s of demo versions of some of the songs from the new CD.
