We all know how Ozzy feels about retirement, so when he announces he is going to quit anything, dont worry; just wait a while and he will change his mind. Reports that 2000 was to be the final year for OzzFest were, well, not true. Now the claim that the 1999 outing of the original lineup of Black Sabbath on the Ozzfest was the last time they would play together also appear to be false.
Various news sources are stating that the original lineup of Black Sabbath will regroup once again to headline the 2001 incarnation of the Ozzfest festival.
The rest of the main stage roster is shaping up as well; onboard this time will be Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Disturbed, Papa Roach and Linkin Park.
This quells rumors of a reunited Van Halen or Guns n Roses headlining the tour this year.
According to an MTV report the tour will begin in Chicago on June 8th at the World Theater. Announcements of additional dates and artists are expected in the next few weeks.
