Marilyn Mansons crotch causes more legal woes for the shock-rocker.
A Minneapolis man, David M. Diaz has filed a lawsuit against Manson claiming that while he was working security at a Marilyn Manson concert on Oct 27, 2000 at the Historic Orpheum Theatre, Manson grabbed his head, placing it between his legs and "proceeded to gyrate his hips".
Diaz is seeking damages in excess of $75,000 for emotional distress and other injuries. According to Diazs attorney James Kaster, since the incident Diaz has been the subject of ridicule and the suit was filed because of the shame Diaz has had to endure because of Mansons actions. The suit also names Manson's touring company, Jimmy's Touring Inc., Diazs employer security firm ABCXYZ Corp; and Vivendi Universal the owners of Marilyn Mansons record label.
This may prove to be the most expensive lap dance in history.
Manson is still facing criminal charges on a similar incident in Michigan last summer in which he pled not guilty on Sept 21st. Manson was released on $25,000 bail and is scheduled to go before the court again for a hearing on December 28th.
Marilyn isnt the only controversial music personality facing litigation. According to Music3W Eminem(real name Marshall Mathers) is being sued by a former school mate. The plaintiff, DeAngelo Bailey is seeking damages of $1 million dollars for being called a bully in Eminems song Brain Damage. The Music3W reports states that, Bailey claims that being name checked by the rapper has had such an effect of his life that he is finding it difficult to conduct a fulfilling work or social life.
Here is the lyric that is alleged to have caused Bailey $1 million dollars worth of anguish, "I was harassed daily by this fat kid named DeAngelo Bailey".
Gotta love the civil legal system
