Controversy continues to follow Marilyn Manson on and off the stage. The shock rocker is wanted on one felony count of criminal sexual conduct and a misdemeanor count of assault and battery. The charges stem from an incident that took place on July 30th at the DTE Energy Theater in suburban Detroit. A warrant for Manson's arrest was issued last Thursday (Aug 16th) by the Oakland County prosecutor's office.
According to a statement by the prosecutor, Dave Gorcyca, Manson sexually assaulted a security guard during the concert. The prosecutor alleges the g-string wearing Manson attacked security guard Joshua Keasler from behind. he began masturbating over the G-string, as he got closer he spit on the guard. He then placed him in a headlock with his legs, and began rubbing his genitals on his head and neck area," says Gorcyca.
"These acts are sexual and physical assaults on an unsuspecting individual whose job was to protect the performers," Gorcyca said in the statement. "This disgusting display and conduct cannot go unrecognized, and for those reasons these charges were issued."
Charges were filed against Manson at the Oakland County Sheriffs department two days after the incident.
The prosecutors office is attempted to
make contact with representative for Manson so that the shock-rocker can
be arraigned on the two charges. At press time, there has been no
word out of the Manson camp about these allegations.
