After remaining silent for over a year about the rumored Van Halen reunion, David Lee Roth decided to take his case to the public via a streamed audio message on his website. Roth Posted the message on his website Thursday(4/19) and gave fans a few details about what has transpired between Roth and his former bandmates.
According to Roth, the reunion has been on again off again. He has recorded with Eddie, Alex and Michael but hasnt heard a word from them since July.
Here is part of Roths cyber message.
"I promised you the news, and here's the
news. About a year ago, myself and the great Van Halen band played together
once or twice and it sounded amazing. In the following several months,
Edward and I / Edward Van Halen and me, David Lee Roth created some of
the most amazing, phenomenal . . . the hands fell off the clock, ladies
and gentleman, and we wrote three astonishing tunes.
"That was last July, and since then I haven't been up to the studio, we haven't really been in touch, and we haven't made any music. But I am holding forth; I am in the shape of my life, and I got the high note I'm ready to go."
So for reunion watchers it appears the Roth has recorded new material with his former bandmates, but at the moment he is in limbo. Maybe that is why he decided to take his case to the public?
