SP were planning to release extra material from their previous album, Machina/the Machines of God. well, on Wednesday, they did just that. "Friends and Enemies of Modern Music" was self-produced by the band into 25 box sets, given out to friends of the band. the intention was to circulate these 25 NEW SONGS as much as possible. this was done as a response to virgin
records' decision to refuse to put out this last album. and since there
was a 'no-compete' clause in their contract, the band cannot release any
new material for a year. so they made their way around it, giving new music
to the fans. the intent is to circulate this all over the world, and since
you have supported the band in the past, it would be appreciated if you
would play some of these songs once they are more widely available. cd-quality
versions of the songs should be available in the coming weeks. here
