Pantera Announces "The Real Steel" Tour

9-15-00 6:00 AM PST Press Release
Theyre back! Pantera, the multi-platinum Texas metal band that has outlasted every metal trend, today announced the launch of the first leg of their supercharged "The Real Steel" headline tour, which kicks off November 7th in Biloxi, MS, in support of their current release, Reinventing the Steel. Tour will continue after the first of the year. With a line-up that includes the metal-influenced Canadian teen all-girl quartet Kittie and Floridas Morbid Angel, the tour is guaranteed to provide all the hard-edge, heart-pounding drums, guitar licks, raw vocals and hell-raising pyrotechnics Pantera shows have become synonymous with.

"Our fans know that theres nothing like a f**n full-on Pantera show," growled frontman Philip Anselmo. "Pantera are primed to pulverize your senses with abrasive, loud, excessive pure heavy f**n metal."

Since their inception, Pantera has garnered dozens of gold and platinum albums worldwide, one platinum home video, two gold home videos and three Grammy nominations all accomplished with virtually no radio support or video exposure. After relentless touring following their breakthrough albums Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven, Pantera was invited to tour with their idols, Black Sabbath as part of the very first Ozzfest tour and follow-up Black Sabbath Reunion Tour. Pantera just returned from sharing the bill with Ozzy on this summers Ozzfest tour.

Pantera is Philip Anselmo on lead vocals, Dimebag Darrell on guitar, Vinnie Paul on drums and Rex Brown on bass .Tickets for Panteras "Real Steel" tour go on sale Saturday, September 16th. Tickets are available at local Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com and additional ticket outlets in each tour market.
