: Britney Milli Vanilli Spears?

There are some stories that are just too good to pass up. Even if they come from other web sites, or are based on only one source. This story appeared on only a few sites including the British Music site ITN Online and VH1.com. As for the VH1.com coverage, the story was Posted on March 14th, but was mysteriously missing from their news section and archives on March 15th?  What gives? Is there a cover up of some kind? Was it refuted? Who knows? But here is the gist of what was alleged and the response from Britney's record company.

The Story:

Britney belly button Spears was accused by a reporter for the Birmingham News of Lip Syncing during a recent concert in Alabama. According to the reviewer, who watched the show from the front row, Britney used far too many pre-recorded vocals during her set. The reporter said Britneys performance was "like a badly dubbed movie or a cheapo cartoon."

What did Britney have to say about the accusation? Nothing official - However, a spokesperson for her record company denied the charges by stating,  "Britney definitely did not lip synch at the Birmingham concert. This was one of the first concerts on her tour and there were problems with the equipment. The equipment failure meant that there were audio problems which gave the impression of lip synching, but she did not."  Thats the best excuse weve heard since the Spears camp answered the rumors of her receiving breast implants by saying that she just went through a growth spurt!

Does it really matter?

Doesn't Britney and her style of music lend itself to lip syncing and aren't her performances focused more on the dancing and her outfits than the music? Who cares if she lip synced? She looked great!  Conceivably, that's what was going through the collective mind of the music press at large and why they have been mysteriously silent on this subject. On the other hand, possibly they decided not to rely on the opinion of one reviewer. We must take into account that this reviewer could have been mistaken. Whether you like her or her style of music, there is no denying that Britney can sing. The real issue here? Are fans paying for a live performance and not getting it? Whether this accusation proves to be true or not remains to be seen. On the other hand, people will be paying closer attention to Britney's performances in the future.

You can go see her at the follow dates and decide for yourself - Is it real or is it silicon? Opps, wrong Spears accusation - My bad.  =)  aG
