If you cruise over to Third Eye Blinds web site you will notice that Kevin Cadogan is nowhere to be found. To add insult to injury apparently the band not only fired the poor guy but they pulled the old Quiet Riot trick of leaving the newly axed member stranded on the road. ( Quiet Riot's lead vocalist, also named kevin, discovered he was fired by the band when he went to leave his hotel in the morning and the rest of the band had split.)
Kevin was fired last tuesday (Jan 25th) after the band performed at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The task of informing Kevin he was out apparently fell on the bands drummer, Brad Hargreaves, shoulders. Then the band was said to have left town without him.
The
band's management issued a press statement that simply stated . "The members
of Third Eye Blind and one of their principal guitarists have parted
ways Brad Hargreaves, Stephan Jenkins, and Arion Salazar wish him
every success. TEB welcomes back guitarist Tony Fredianelli, who has joined
the group and will perform on the upcoming Dragons & Astronauts
tour."
