The Beatles remain unstoppable! Their current collection of no. 1 hits titled appropriately enough �1� remains at the top of the charts for the fourth week and the CD flew off the shelves during the week before Christmas selling more than 1.25 million copies, making it the 5th best selling week for a CD ever. Since it�s release six weeks ago the album has sold 4.6 million copies in the United States and has topped the charts worldwide.
Try how they might the Backstreet Boys could not catch up to the fab four. They did however have the second best selling week for their latest CD, �Black & Blue� selling more than 724,000 copies last week.
Elsewhere on the charts: Creed is holding tight at no. 4 with their sophomore release, �Human Clay�. Rapper Snoop Dogg debuted at No. 9 on the charts with his latest release, "Tha Last Meal" which clocked in with first week sales of 397,000 copies leaving store shelves. U2 made modest gains this week climbing two places to No. 18 with their latest release �All That You Can't Leave Behind�.
