While his former band mates play to sold out arena's across North America with Rob Halford's new band and 80's rockers Queensryche, Paul Di'Anno the original vocalist for the British heavy metal group Iron Maiden had to call off his planned North American tour.

According to a statement on the Di'Anno official web site the U.S. government refused to let him in the county.

The official statement did not provide a reason for the singer being denied admission to the United States. It reads as follows:

26th August 2000: the USA tour is off!!

Paul and everybody within the organization would like to offer a sincere apology to everybody who was looking forward to seeing the shows.

The tour has been cancelled because US immigration would not allow Paul into the country.

Paul is extremely upset and annoyed about this and we are currently looking at ways to make it up to the us fan base.

Stay tuned...and finally a message to US immigration  f*** you and your point of view!! (POV 2000)
