That's right! In an age when multi-platinum bands are suing mp3 sites, Limp Bizkit is getting paid by them. Napster is onboard as the sponsor for a free tour to feature Limp Bizkit, Cypress Hill and an as yet unnamed third act.

The tour dubbed the "Return to Basics Tour" will kick off on July 4th in Chicago continuing through August 6th.  Tickets to shows in this month of "Limpdependence" will be given away to fans for free.

The three bands will hit 3,000 to 5,000 seat venues in the following areas - Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Boston, New York, Dallas, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles.

The tour is a warm up for the release of Limp Bizkit's new album, Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water, which will hit the stores in August.

Update 5-2-00
Look for venue and date announcements to be made in the near future. Still no word on how the free tickets will be given away. As soon as we hear anything we will pass that info along to you.
