Singled Out: Mary Bragg's Wreck and Ruin
. ![]() Americana star Mary Bragg is releasing her brand new album "Lucky Strike" today and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the song "Wreck and Ruin." Here is the story: Imagine a town where you and all your fellow broken-hearted friends lived. In this place, there's no looking back, no more anger, no more thinking you'd somehow be better off with that jerk who dumped you. And because your mind is clear, you stake your claim to the ground and call the place "Wreck and Ruin." It was a real joy writing this song with my good friend and frequent collaborator Becky Warren, and having her come sing backups on it in the studio was just as fun. Production-wise, I wanted it to be strong and sassy, and I think the band gave us just that. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
