Lorde Plays Surprise Intimate Venue Concert

Lorde continued the tradition started by Paul McCartney by staging a warm up concert for a festival appearance at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneer Town, Ca.

The pop star took the small stage this past Friday night (April 14th) ahead of her appearance at the first week of the Coachella Festival at the nearby Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

McCartney famously played a surprise show at the same venue ahead of his performance at the Desert Trip mega festival last year. Snippets of Lorde's performance have made their way online. Watch the video clip here.
