Beck Releases 'Wow' Music Video
. ![]() (Radio.com) Beck has released a video for the song "Wow" which is the first single off his forthcoming yet untitled 13th studio album that is set to hit stores on October 21st. Beck said that his new album would sound nothing like his melodious and ethereal Morning Phase, and if his latest single "Wow" is any indication he's sticking by that assertion. He released a video for the song today (September 13), which feels closer to a series of paintings than any true visual treatment. In the video, Beck, clad in all black, stands on a street corner dancing in slow motion. Besides that moment of grounding normality, though, the video cuts between a series of slow motion videos, all hyper colored, that don't seem to have anything in common other than their striking aesthetic quality. There's an aging cowboy, a group of young dancers wearing sparkling costumes, a horse breathing steam on a cool morning and a bunch of roses with an eye where the pistil should be.
