Chris Brown Claims That He Was Set Up
.
(Radio.com) Chris Brown and his legal team are standing by their claim that Baylee Curran, the woman who called police on August 30 and reported that Brown pulled a gun on her, actually intended to set the singer up. Brown sent in an exclusive video statement to ABC News. "I cannot wait until the truth comes to light about this incident," he said. "My character is being defaced, and who I am as a person and my integrity. I'm glad that all my real supporters know me and they know the truth." To back up Brown's assertion, his lawyer Mark Geragos shared a text message Curran allegedly sent her friend before calling police on Brown. She wrote about how angry she was at Brown for kicking her out, and how she intended to set him up by saying he'd drawn a gun on her. "There was a search that was done," Geragos said. "They went in and said that they had a description of a piece of jewelry. That jewelry was not found in the house. They went in and she said that there was a gun. As far as I know, the gun was not found in the house." Security footage also does not appear to corroborate Curran's story. Read more here.
