The Chainsmokers Release Video For 'Closer' with Halsey

(Radio.com) The Chainsmokers promised they would be sharing their new video for "Closer" featuring Halsey on October 24th and they did not waste any time. The DJ duo dropped their new visual early today.

Andrew Taggart and Halsey can't keep their hands off one another as they get close and then closer at a house party when they were younger. That first spark turns into a physically-fueled summer. The video primarily flashes back to moments of youthful lust between the two, as they sunbathe by the pool and chill in a greenish-gray colored bedroom. But that's all the past.

The video takes a turn near the end, moving forward to the present when Halsey--dressed to the nines and sporting her trademark chic short haircut instead of the longer bob she had earlier--spots Taggart at a swanky party and the distance between them could not be clearer. She leaves the party after being overcome by emotion at seeing him after all that time and he chases her out, but they can't get any closer. Check it out here.
