. ![]() Dead Or Alive frontman Pete Burns died on Sunday (Oct 23rd) from "massive cardiac arrest" according to his official Tweeter account. He was 57 years old. The band was best known for their 1985 hit "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" which was later immortalized in the opening scene of the movie "The Wedding Singer". His death was revealed via the following twitter post on Monday, "It's with great sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Peter Burns of (Dead Or Alive) died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest." "All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star," the post continues. He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and the wonderful memories he has left us with. "We have no more words, we will make a further statement when we have had a chance to come to terms with our devastating loss." He will live forever in our memories."
