Johnny Cash's Cover of 'Hurt' Featured In 'Logan' Trailer
. ![]() (Radio.com) Johnny Cash's famous cover of the Nine Inch Nails' 1994 song "Hurt" is itself a brooding wound of a song, so what better choice to soundtrack the new trailer for the third and final Wolverine movie, Logan? Cash's version appears in the trailer, and sets the tone for the physically and psychologically wounded superhero played by Hugh Jackman. Using the song to tell Wolverine's tail might be a bit more calculating than it seems on the surface. Some new percussion and minor movie sound effects create a crescendo not found in Cash's original cover. Logan's director James Mangold also directed the Cash biopic Walk the Line (2005).
