Solange Releases Behind-the-Scenes Jam Sessions Video
. ![]() (Radio.com) Solange's new A Seat at the Table has been widely praised by critics, and now she's giving fans a peek into the recording process for her soulful, inventive album. Mission control was a small house in Louisiana where she, musicians and producers collaborated on songs that would ultimately form the album. Through jam sessions, experimentation and group songwriting, Solange arrived at tracks that earned A Seat at the Table. "I'm really excited to share with you a little film that documents the early stages of my songwriting, jam sessions, and collaborations of #aseatatthetable," she wrote on Facebook. "3 years ago, I moved into a small house in the middle sugar cane field in New Iberia, La with just my engineers @mixedbyblue and @audio_nino to finish all of the lyrics as well as structure and produce the jam sessions that have now become the songs on the album."
