Squirrel Nut Zippers Announce New Year's Eve Show

The Squirrel Nut Zippers spent the second half of 2016 touring for the first time in seven years and now the band has announce a New Year's Eve show and early 2017 performances. The New Year's Eve show is scheduled to take place at One Eyed Jack's in New Orleans, LA. The band will then kick off a string of dates on January 5th in Philadelphia, PA at the World Cafe Live. The short run of live performances will conclude on January 15th in Ft. Collins, CO at Lincoln Center. Jimbo Mathus had the following to say about the return of the band: "We are humbled and incredibly excited by reaction we've gotten this year. It's not a reunion, it's a revival! And we're got a lot more planned for 2017." The group also revealed that they are making plans to record their first new studio album in seventeen years.
