Toby Keith Gives Soldier's Wife A Big Surprise At Concert

(Radio.com) Toby Keith is well known for his support of U.S. troops having gone on several U.S.O. tours over the years himself as a performer. During one of his headlining shows in Texas, the singer gave a woman the surprise of a lifetime when he brought her up on stage.

Prefacing "American Soldier," the singer brought up a woman whose husband was currently fighting in Afghanistan. Dedicating the song to her husband, Major Pete Cruz, Keith asked her to sing along during his performance.

As the song came to a close, a man in uniform walks on stage to hand Keith a new guitar. As his wife turns around and realizes who he is, her eyes well up with tears as her husband embraces her in a kiss. "She didn't know he was coming here tonight," Keith admits.
