Megadeth's Nick Menza Cause Of Death Confirmed
. ![]() (Classic Rock) Former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza died of natural causes, according to findings from the County Of Los Angeles Department Of Medical Examiner-Coroner. He collapsed on stage on May 21 with his current band Ohm, and passed away soon afterwards. Eyewitness accounts suggested he'd suffered a severe heart attack. Now that view has been confirmed by the County Of Los Angeles Department Of Medical Examiner-Coroner, who list a single cause of death as "hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease." The case has been closed. One person who attended the Baked Potato venue in Studio City, California, told Blabbermouth: "It appeared to be a seizure. Nick stopped breathing. Two patrons began CPR until EMS arrived. EMS worked on him for 25-plus minutes, including adrenaline shots, three shocks and non-stop compressions." Read more here.
