Singled Out: Unwritten Law's Celebration
. ![]() San Diego rockers Unwritten Law recently released their new album Acoustic and to celebrate we asked vocalist and guitarist Scott Russo to tell us about the song "Celebration". Here is the story: So, when we were demoing Celebration, I really wanted to write a song with a vibe similar to our favorite Australian band, Grinspoon. They had these long, heavy intros and dark riffs, so that's where I started. I was infatuated with the word "celebration" at the time. I wanted that word in the chorus. Then when I started writing the rest of the lyrics, they were honestly gibberish that fit the phrasing. Fun fact: Adrian Young of No Doubt played drums on the original recording. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video here and learn more about the album right here!
