Rob Zombie Admits Tour With Slayer Didn't Work
.
(New Rock Times) Rob Zombie says bands have to be careful when selecting who to tour with after past experiences proved not all bands can unite a crowd. He tells Headlines and Global News that tours with Korn and Marilyn Manson have been fantastic experiences while going on the road with Alice Cooper was also a good match. But he says Slayer, despite revealing the two bands are friends, wasn't a tour which worked. "We did a tour [in 2011] that was us and Slayer. We're good friends with Slayer, they're all great guys, but for some reason on that tour it really felt like it's our fans, and it's their fans. "Backstage was great and the vibe was great, there was nothing between the bands, but you could feel it wasn't one solid crowd. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the perfect match." Zombie is preparing to hit the road with Disturbed later this year to help promote his new album 'The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser', a combination Zombie is sure will suit both sets of fans.
