New Blink-182 Song Expected In April

(Radio.com) It's confirmed: Blink-182 will release new music soon. "We can expect to hear the first song in April," reveals Lisa Worden, Music Director for Los Angeles alternative station KROQ (a Radio.com station).

Rumors about the release of the single came Wednesday when a radio industry website listed the to-be-determined Blink-182 song on a future releases chart. The single will mark the first new music from the band since Neighborhoods, released in 2011. It's also the first we'll hear from the band's new lineup with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba.

Worden was treated to eight new songs when Mark Hoppus stopped by her office Tuesday. According to Hoppus, the band has recorded nearly 50 songs and is in the process of narrowing them down for the yet-to-be-named album.

"I think any fan of Blink-182 is going to be ecstatic when they hear the music. I really do! It sounds like Blink-182 but it sounds like Blink in 2016. Lyrically it's clever." Worden explains that of the songs she's heard, it's primarily Hoppus on vocals with Skiba adding harmonies. "I didn't know what to expect.

Worden can speak with some authority. The band has played her every Blink-182 album before its release. Read more here.
