Kanye West and The Weeknd Lead Inaugural Meadows Fest Lineup

(Radio.com) The Meadows Music and Arts Festival will be held at Citi Field complex in Queens, New York On October 1 & 2. Kanye West and The Weeknd will headline.

Other names appearing on the Meadows Fest bill include Chance the Rapper, Kygo, Cage the Elephant, Grimes,The 1975, Mac Miller, Metric and Pusha T.

The festival reportedly came about because organizers wanted to bring West back to the city after his performance at Governors Ball was canceled due to inclement weather, according to Rolling Stone. It helps that Meadows Fest's organizers are the minds behind Governors Ball. Read more here.
