Peter Gabriel Tributes Murdered MP Jo Cox
. ![]() (Prog) Peter Gabriel has paid tribute to tragic MP Jo Cox who was killed in her West Yorkshire constituency last week. Cox, 41, was shot and stabbed after holding a surgery in Birstall Thursday (June 16) and a 52-year-old man, named locally as Tommy Mair, has been arrested. Former Genesis man and prog icon Gabriel met Cox two years ago before she became an MP and recalls her striking him as "a potential leader" who could inspire those she came into contact with. Gabriel says: "We have been robbed of a potential leader, a wonderful mum and a soul that could both listen to and inspire those with whom she came into contact. "I can't bear to think of her family and the terrible loss they now have to face." Read more here. Prog Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
