The Killers Live Interpol Cover Goes Online
. ![]() (Radio.com) Early in their career, The Killers faced comparisons to Interpol. During a show at a casino in Ontario, Canada last week (June 2), the band embraced its alt-pop peers by covering "Obstacle 1" from Interpol's 2002 debut Turn on the Bright Lights. "There were a couple bands that really sort of lit a fire under us when we were first starting and one of those bands was Interpol," frontman Brandon Flowers told the crowd. "This was one of the songs that was on our [minds] when we were making our first record." During the show, the band debuted a new (yet untitled) song that mainly featured frontman Brandon Flowers at a piano, according to The Killers News fan site. Watch the Interpol cover here.
