Tom Petty's New Mudcrutch Video Stars Anthony Hopkins
. ![]() (Radio.com) Tom Petty's other band Mudcrutch released a video for "I Forgive It All," and recruited two Oscar-winners to shoot it. Sir Anthony Hopkins plays the video's central character, an older gentleman driving through upscale and downscale neighborhoods of Los Angeles, full of thought and reminiscence. Sean Penn directed the clip, following successful feature-film efforts like Into the Wild. This isn't the first time Petty and Hopkins have creatively intersected. The Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers classic "American Girl" appears in a key scene of The Silence of the Lambs, for which Hopkins won an Academy Award. Mudcrutch recently came together 41 years after they disbanded. New music and a new video are clear signs that the reunion could go the long haul. Watch the video here.
