Singled Out: Eve To Adam's Lucky
. ![]() Eve To Adam vocalist and founder Taki Sassaris tells us about their new single "Lucky". Here is the story: Our new single 'Lucky' is a high energy comeback song illustrating the inner monologue of a character seeking a second chance in the game of life. The band had quite a ride after releasing it's 2013 album 'Locked and Loaded', spawning their Top 15 Active Rock hit 'Immortal.' On the waves of 'Immortal's' success, Eve To Adam rocketed to a heavy touring schedule and spotlight position playing all of the massive radio and concert festivals on the US circuit. Despite the success of the single and the well respected album 'Locked and Loaded', the band was starting to buckle under the intense schedule and undue pressure being brought on by their former management and label to keep producing greater results and revenue. The atmosphere became very heated and negative brought on by management continuously harping on the cost of maintaining the schedule they were pushing, nonetheless burning the group out and ultimately having the members turn on each other. By September of 2014, Gaurav Bali, ETA's original lead guitarist, had quit with the remaining members who were on salary from the label soon to follow. After a much needed break, (band had been touring nonstop from late 2011 thru 2014) and assessment of the future, Alex and I decided to continue the journey and enlist new members and write new music. Reforming with new musicians Lawrence Coleman(Lead Guitar), Markus Wells(Guitar) and Matt Spaker(Bass), my brother Alex and I felt a renewed feeling of family and unity. That 'Second Chance' aesthetic is what ultimately led to the writing and recording of 'Lucky,' a song that captures the sensation of winning after you have been on a losing streak and all hope feels lost. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
