Cage The Elephant's Matt Shultz Geeks Out Over Weezer Jam
. Shultz explained his fandom to Radio.com. "When I was a kid I was so obsessed with Weezer and recently I got a chance to perform the song, "Island in the Sun" with them on stage and it was just like that fifteen year-old self kind of freaking out." Thanks to fan footage, we can watch Shultz talking about the collaboration while on stage with his idols at a concert in Portland, Oregon. "If I could see my fifteen year-old self, I would say 'keep doing what you're doing 'cause one day you're going to sing a song with Weezer." Jokingly, Rivers Cuomo, Weezer's frontman adds, "A dream come true for everyone involved," just before jumping into an acoustic performance of the crowd favorite. Watch it here.
