Charles Kelley Covers Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball'

. (Radio.com) Charles Kelley may be gearing up for the release of his upcoming solo debut The Driver and subsequent U.S. tour, but that doesn't mean he's too busy to lay down a mean cover.

Not only did Kelley release a cover of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," but he did it using only one microphone and in one take. Even though he keeps Cyrus' vocal arrangement, Kelley's version has a much softer feel about it compared to the original pop number.

Kelley's take even sounds a bit like Ryan Adams, between his low-throated builds on the verses and his bigger vocal growls on the chorus. It's a sentimental take on the love-lost song, and maybe one he'll play live once he launches his tour in April. Read more here.
