Singled Out: Bat House's Patterns
. ![]() Bat House tells us a little bit about their new single "Patterns" which comes from the group's self-titled debut album. Here is the story: In the catacombs of an underground rehearsal space coated with mold and mildew, 'Patterns' was born. The initial writing sessions for 'Patterns' laid the groundwork for the development of our collective voice. As individuals, the song was an exploration into the concepts of mixed metered and polyrhythmic compositions. The tune established our balance between technical ability and pop sensibility for future sounds. This process is based on collaboration and is an open conversation between the four of us. The interplay between the lyrics and the guitar work, supported by the asymmetrical rhythms of the bass and drums, aim to create an otherworldly atmosphere. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
