Tim McGraw Discusses His New Film 'The Shack'

(Radio.com) Tim McGraw will star in upcoming film The Shack, which hits theaters on March 3, 2017. Based on the 2011 best-selling novel, The Shack, the country artist plays the character named Willie, who is Sam Worthington's character's best friend. In an new interview McGraw discussed the film and what it was like working with Worthington. "It's certainly a really heartfelt and heartbreaking film at times," he admits. 'The story is a story of redemption. Anybody that's read the book knows that. I got to work with some great people. Sam Worthington blew me away with his acting chops. He's just such a talented, talented actor." McGraw plays the lead character's best friend as well as the narrator. He says he also looks at the film from the audience perspective. "I narrate the film as well, which is pretty much a treat for me to be able to do that and sort of be the voice of the film," he explains. Read more here.
