Tyler The Creator Explains Motivation For Twitter Name Change

The rapper admitted his controversial social media name was not going to get corporations to 'invest money" in his brand. The California rapper took to Twitter to announce the change, from @F--Tyler to @tylerthecreator, on Aug. 23, writing, 'RIP F--TYLER, WILL MISS YOU, ITS BEEN GREAT, BUT NOW ITS TIME FOR ME TO''IDK WHAT EXACTLY, BUT ITS TIME, IM OK WITH THAT. LOVE YOU." The controversial MC addressed the change in a new interview from Afropunk Brooklyn, He boasted. 'My stock just went up because of that name change." Tyler added. 'How can I contact corporations, like 'yo invest a bunch of money in me.' Oh yeah, my name has this in it. First impression is automatically out the window."
