Taylor Swift Pledges $1 Million To Louisiana Flood Relief
. ![]() (Gibson) Taylor Swift has pledged a $1 million relief donation to Louisiana after the state was struck with devastating torrential rains. The recent storms claimed the lives of at least 11 people, displaced 20,000 residents and damaged at least 40,000 homes. Louisiana is a state close to Swift's heart. Speaking to the Associated Press, she says, "We began [2015's] The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home. "The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking.
