Gene Simmons' Daughter Is Writing Hip-Hop Songs
. ![]() (Radio.com) Music runs in the Simmons family. As it turns out, Gene Simmons' daughter, Sophie, also has a budding music career. Sophie Simmons recently told TMZ that she is working on an EP of new music. Additionally, she's been writing songs for other artists including Rick Ross. "I'm writing songs for everyone, which is great," Simmons told TMZ. 'I'm working on my own EP but I've been writing songs for people lately. I just wrote a track for Rick Ross, which is hysterical." While she hasn't said whether her father has heard the track for Ross yet, the elder Simmons has spoken out about his distaste for rap music. He told Rolling Stone earlier this year that he is looking forward to the 'death of rap." His daughter, however, thinks differently. Read more here.
