Katatonia Announce 25th Anniversary Shows

(Prog) Katatonia have announced two extra European shows for later this year. They'll play Plovdiv's Roman Theatre, Bulgaria, on September 22 and London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on October 21 to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary. The gigs will also mark 10 years since the release of their seventh album The Great Cold Distance.

Founding member Anders Nystrom says: "We once put up a poll asking fans which Katatonia album was their all-time favourite. The Great Cold Distance won.

"Over the years there is probably no other album from which we played more songs live and there's probably no other album with the same amount of songs that still remain in our setlist.

"So with mutual love for our decade old distance, we decided to celebrate its anniversary by playing the whole damn thing for you, on two different occasions. First in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with an orchestra and later in London without an orchestra." Read more here.
