The songs provide a soundtrack to the book which is the first in a three-volume series of fiction novels co-written by DeLonge and author A.J. Hartley.

As GQ recently pointed out in an interview with DeLonge, the end goal is simple: to tell the mind-boggling stories behind mankind's wildest encounters with unknown aerial phenomenon and what the U.S. government is doing with that knowledge.
