David Gilmour Streams New Song 'Today'
. "'Today' was one of the ones that Phil [Manzanera] put together from two or three pieces of music of mine that I had sort of ignored," says Gilmour. "He's very good at finding them and saying, 'that's great, you should it and how about using it with that piece and that piece.' So he mocked that one up. It's a gift." Due September 18, the 10-track set delivers five tunes with lyrics by the Pink Floyd guitarist's wife, author Polly Samson, and two by Gilmour alongside three instrumentals. Gilmour performed a warm-up show for his upcoming world tour in support of "Rattle That Lock" in Brighton, UK on September 5.
