Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard Releases Surprise 'Thunderbitch' Album

. (Radio.com) Alabama Shakes's Brittany Howard surprised fans with a brand new 10-song LP, released under the eponym Thunderbitch on Wednesday (September 2nd) via the project's official website.

Joining Howard in the group are members of other Nashville bands including Fly Golden Eagle and Clear Plastic Masks but the official site lists the members as Thunderbitch, Matt Man, B Bone, ThunderMitch, Char Man and A Man.

According to Rolling Stone, the band is not new--Thunderbitch played in a restaurant shortly after Alabama Shakes was nominated for several Grammy Awards. Read more here.
