August Alsina Releases New Track 'Song Cry'
. August Alsina borrows from two musical giants to set the emotional tone. He borrows the title from Jay Z's deeply personal track of the same name, and sings portions of The Isley Brothers' 1996 hit "Tears." Alsina sings, "I can't hold back my tears. Let me cry." Judging from the pain he shares, he could definitely use a good crying session. Alsina discusses how trying to buy his mother's affection failed, not receiving as much love from his peers as he thought he would, and he even reveals how life's pressures caused him to think about suicide.
