"It's an honor to be chosen for the Nashville Drummers Jam number 7," says Alex. "Thank you. Have a great time with it. I want to hear you on the West Coast, alright."

The Van Halen tribute takes place at The Exit Inn in Nashville on December 14. Previous honorees include Stewart Copeland of The Police, Neil Peart of Rush, John Bonham, and Jeff Porcaro, among others. Check out the announcement video here.
